Blanche A. Harman

NEW OXFORD Blanche A. (Fetterhoff) Harman, 88, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg. She was the wife of Howard C. Harman, who died December 22, 1996. Born on June 29, 1924 in Millersburg, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lottie Fetterhoff. She was a life member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church in New Oxford and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the church. Blanche is survived by five daughters: Lorraine L. Ensor and her husband Fred of New Oxford, Loretta L. Groft and her husband Gene of Hanover, Linda L. Eck and her husband James of Hanover, Susan A. Reaver and her husband Jeffrey of Thomasville, and Diane J. Megonnell and her husband Bill of New Oxford; three sons: Kenneth H. Harman, Eugene A. Harman and his wife Apryl, and Wayne E. Harman and his wife Gwen, all of New Oxford; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a step sister, Erma Miller of Millersburg. She was predeceased by three sisters: Betty Schreffler, Catherine Zarker, and Patricia Fetterhoff; and two brothers: John and Raymond Fetterhoff. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12 noon at St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, 1535 Hunterstown-Hampton Road, New Oxford, with her son-in-law, Rev. Jeffrey Reaver, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Groft, Shannon Ensor, Teque Harman, Cody Klinedinst, Ryan Bream, and Shane Megonnell.
