Charles F. Plitt

FREEDOM TWP. Charles F. Plitt, 83, formerly of Littlestown died Saturday, March 9 2013, at his home in Freedom Township. Born February 8, 1930, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Augusta A Schnitzker Plitt. Charlie was a machinist and ran and owned his own business in Littlestown for 36 years. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying his own plane. He was also an accomplished musician, playing several instruments. Charles is survived by three sons, Nelson Plitt and wife, Gail of Spring Grove, Allen Plitt and wife, Flora of East Berlin and Frank Plitt and wife, Carla of Glenville; one daughter, Donna Redding and husband, Brian of Heidelberg; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; five nieces and one nephew. He is also survived by a brother, Paul Plitt and wife, Betty of Hanover and long time companion Juanita M. Harner of Fairfield and extended family granddaughters, Morgan and Madison. Funeral Service is Wednesday at 12 Noon at Littles Funeral Home with Rev. Mark McOmber officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service.
