Edward M. Bream

HANOVER Edward M. "Eddie" Bream, 73, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, February 27, 2014, at his home. Eddie shared his love and laughs with his companion, Janet Weber. Born March 26, 1940, in New Oxford, he was the son of the late Ivan L. and Evelyn M. (Laughman) Bream. Eddie was a 1958 graduate of New Oxford High School and retired from Bethlehem Steel in Burns Harbor, Ind. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, and volunteered at his church, Hanover Hospital, and York Street Wellness Center. He will be missed by many. Surviving are six siblings, Myrna L. Miller and her husband, Edgar of Gettysburg, Wayne L. Bream and his wife, Janet, Allen H. Bream and his wife, Susan, and Minnie Lawrence and her husband, Alan, all of New Oxford, Terry L. Bream of York, and Iva Breighner and her husband, Rickie of Abbottstown; a sister-in-law, Cindy Bream; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan L. Bream, Jr. and Kenneth B. Bream. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut St., Hanover, with Pastor Dan Yeiser officiating. Burial will be private.
