Eileen G. Hall

ORRTANNA Eileen G. Hall, 83, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Gettysburg Hospital after a long illness. She was born June 17, 1929, on her family's farm in the Buchanan Valley area of Adams County, daughter of the late John and Virgie (Irvin) Hall. Miss Hall was an active member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, volunteering for many church functions. She retired from Bear Mt. Orchards after many years of service in the fruit packing area. She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers. Survivors include her sister, Mary Neiderer of McSherrystown; three brothers, Francis, John, and Paul Hall, all of Orrtanna; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Betty Wentz, and Emma, and Anna Hall; and two brothers, Joseph and Harry Hall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. from St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Road, Orrtanna, with Fr. Daniel O'Brien, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church's Loyola Center. Memorials may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Eileen's honor.
