Emma G. Fair

NEW OXFORD Emma G. Fair, 93, formerly of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford, where she resided with her husband, Robert D. "Bob" Fair, Sr. Together they celebrated 74 years of marriage on January 27, 2013. She was born December 8, 1919, in Fairfield, the daughter of the late Roy David and Mary Sophia (Study) Gladhill. Mrs. Fair was a member of Hanover First Church of God and enjoyed camping. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Betty L. Dubs and her husband, Glenn of Hanover; daughters-in-law, Melanie Fair of Lewes, Del., and Carol Fair of Dover, Del.; sisters, Alice Hartsock of Littlestown, Audrey Flynn and her husband, John of Hanover, and Betty Geiger of Hanover; brother, Robert Gladhill of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her sons, Robert D. Fair, Jr. and Roy C. Fair; grandson, Douglas Dubs; sister, Mary Schneider; and brother, George Gladhill A service to celebrate the life of Emma G. Fair will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Hanover First Church of God, 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover, with Pastor Jerry Shoap officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be John Fair, Nick Fair, Craig Dubs, Shawn Dubs, Glenn Dubs, and Ken Hartsock.
