Judith E. Herman

HANOVER Judith E. "Judy" Herman, 63, entered into God's eternal care Friday, October 26, 2012, at her home with her loving family by her side. Judy was the loving wife of Gary E. Herman to whom she was married for 37 years. Born May 19, 1949, in McSherrystown, Judy was the daughter of the late William and Cecilia (Livelsberger) Keffer. Judy was a 1967 graduate of Delone Catholic High School. She was a realtor with ERA for over 20 years. Judy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover. She was also a member of Soroptomist International of Hanover, and she volunteered with the Helping Hand and the Golden Visions Senior Center. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband, Gary, Judy is survived by one son, David A. Herman and wife, Erika of Catonsville, Md.; four grandchildren, Wyat, Alexee, Madeline, and Grace; six brothers, William J. Keffer, Francis "Bud" Keffer, Gerard Keffer, Anthony Keffer, Stephen Keffer, and Donald Keffer; and two sisters, Rosanne Baublitz and Patricia Hoff. She was preceded in death by one son, Rick L. Herman; two sisters; and one brother. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, with Msgr. James M. Lyons as celebrant. A time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Judy's memory to the Wyat M. Herman Educational Trust Fund, c/o Susquhanna Bank, 1191 Eichelberger St., Hanover, PA 17331; or to the Heather Baker Foundation, 678 Old Hanover Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
