Kenneth Mummert

GETTYSBURG Kenneth "Moose" Mummert, 61, died Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013 at the York Hospital. Born May 25, 1951 in Gettysburg, he was the son of Mary (Breighner) Mummert of Gettysburg and the late Oscar Mummert who died in 1994. Ken worked at BAE Systems for a number of years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era. He belonged to various clubs including the New Oxford Social Club, the Gettysburg American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Austin-Costello Sportsman's Club, he also was a life member at the Adams County Fish & Game and the Gettysburg VFW. In addition to his mother he is survived by his two daughters, Stacy Blocher and her husband David, of Gettysburg, Stephanie Keller and her husband Kevin, of Gettysburg; four grandchildren, Kaelyn Blocher, Landon Blocher, Konnor Keller, Austin Keller; one brother, Larry Mummert, of Gettysburg; as well as his companion, Debra Kessler. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with Rev. Michael Allwein officiating. Burial with full military honors being presented by the Adams County Allied Veterans will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Franklin Township Youth Baseball League, P.O.
