Lena R. Eberhart

GETTYSBURG Lena Ruth Eberhart, 93, died Thursday, February 8, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Gettysburg. She was the wife of Leonard W. Eberhart, who died in 1998. She was born in York County, on April 5, 1919, the daughter of the late John G. and Marinda K. (Sellers) Miller. Mrs. Eberhart was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, a longtime employee of the former C.H. Musselman Co. in Biglerville. Prior employment included the Silk Mill in Gettysburg. She is survived by her son, Dennis A. Eberhart of Gettysburg; daughters, Linda Hall of New Oxford and Phyllis Meckley of Las Vegas, Nev.; and one grandchild. She was predeceased by four brothers, Vernon, Harold, Sam, and Merle Miller; and three sisters, Ada Noel, Mary Staiger, and Lydia Eckert. A memorial service to celebrate Lena's life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with her pastor, the Rev. Michael Allwein, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 until the time of the service. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
