Mary L. Swiger

GETTYSBURG Mary L. (Loder) Swiger 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the Genesis Nursing Home. Born on August 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mabel C. (Albright) Loder of Airville. Mary worked for many years at Little Bit Of Love Florist in Hanover and retired from Dominos Pizza in Hanover. She was survived by her long time companion, Dennis Hebert of Gettysburg; her daughter, Tina Shultz and her husband, Mike of New Oxford; her son, Irl Therit and his wife, Denise of Hanover; 12 brothers, Gary L. Loder, Richard E. Loder, Donald L. Loder, James R. Loder, John P. Loder, Albert M. Loder, David S. Loder, Paul M. Loder, William J. Loder, Terry W. Loder, George W. Loder, Jr.; four sisters, Dorothy Marie Beaverson, Grace E. Blouse, Margaret J. Mutzbaugh, Martha A. Haugh, Ethel M. Nalls; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert G. Loder and Glenn L. Loder. A service to celebrate the life of Mary Swiger will be held Monday, October 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Dan Thomas officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
