N. Carol McMaster

GETTYSBURG N. Carol McMaster, 69, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, surrounded by her family following a long struggle with cancer. Carol was the loving wife of Larry E. McMaster, to whom she was married for 49 years. Born December 13, 1942, in Mangum, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Rufus M. and Nova L. (Key) Blain. Carol was a graduate of Centralvue High School, Mangum, Okla. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville. Carol enjoyed watching cooking shows, bird watching, gardening, and canning. She was a wonderful loving Mother who was very dedicated to her family. In addition to her husband, Larry, Carol is survived by two sons, David P. McMaster and John J. McMaster, both of Gettysburg; two daughters, Judith S. Flickinger and Cindy A. McMaster, both of Gettysburg; four grandchildren, Andrew B. McMaster, Jennifer L. Flickinger, and Stephen A. Flickinger, all of Gettysburg, and Summer R. Bennett of Tennessee; one stepgranddaughter, Gabrielle Mott of Gettysburg; three brothers, Wylie, Richard, and Kirk Blain, all of Mangum, Okla.; and two sisters, Mary Watkins and Helen Aebischer, both of Mangum. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph E. McMaster; four brothers, Alan, Crile, James, and Buford Blain; and one sister, Mona Blanscet. Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, with Fr. Augusty T. Valomchalil as the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery, Bonneauville. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 66 E. Hanover St., Bonneauville. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Carol may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12E. Hanover St., Bonneauville, PA 17325.
