Robert J. Drews

HANOVER Robert J. Drews, 66, died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. He was the husband of Natalie L. (Fischer) Drews for 44 years. Born August 4, 1946, in Danville, Ill., he was the son of the late Robert J. and Elvera N. (Faas) Drews. He was a Concordia University graduate of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a ministerial student. He was a mortgage banker retired from Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. in 2006. In addition to his wife, Rob is survived by two daughters, Amanda Gilbart and husband, Chris of Taneytown, Md.; Melanie Drew of Sterling, Va.; two granddaughters, Sophie and Kallie Gilbart; and a sister, Marilyn Hess of Wheaton, Ill. Rob was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown, with which he was very committed. He enjoyed reading, playing the piano and traveling with his family. Memorial Service is Saturday at 11 a.m. at his church, 665 St. John's Rd., Littlestown, with The Rev. James S. Dunlop officiating. Family will receive friends Friday 6 to 9 p.m. at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown and also 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
