Robert S. Curry Sr.

HANOVER Robert S. "Bob" Curry, Sr., 75, entered into God's eternal care on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Hanover Hospital. Born March 5, 1937, in McSherrystown, he was a son of the late William E. and Vergie, P. (Markle) Curry. Mr. Curry attended Family Life Worship Center, New Oxford. He was employed for 40 years with Emeco Industries, Hanover prior to his retirement. Bob was an avid dedicated blood donor for the American Red Cross and acquired many gallon pins. His survivors include five children, Robert S. Curry, Jr. and his wife Jill, Hanover, Daniel L. Curry and his wife Penelope, Hanover, Julie A. Arnold and her husband Arthur, Lewisberry, Jodi L. Runk, Dillsburg, and Douglas A. Curry and his wife Naomi, Carlisle; 10 grandchildren, Dakota, Courtney and Brianna Curry, Maria, Michelle, and Daniel Curry, Jr., Joshua and Cody Arnold, Tanya Venti and Kaitlyn Curry; three great-grandchildren; 11 siblings, Shirley Jacoby, East Berlin, Gloria Miller, Hanover, Evelyn Harner, Stovers-town, Ruth Leiphart, York, Christine Hayes, New Oxford, Linda McMaster, Thomasville, Judy Rohrbaugh, New Oxford, Cindy Eller, Abbottstown, Larry Curry, New Oxford, Michael Curry, Stoverstown and Gary Curry, Hanover. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy (Markle) Miller. A service to celebrate the life of Bob Curry, Sr., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Bishop John S. Goff officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
