HANOVER Betty Catherine Feder, 90, lifelong resident of Hanover, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Homewood at Plum Creek. Born February 21, 1922, she was the only child of the late Irvin and Relda Wildasin. Irvin brought Betty up with a love of sports, and she was a diehard Orioles fan. She graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1940, and in 1942 met Manuel "Manny" Feder, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. Betty is survived by her husband, Manny; two daughters, Merle Feder of Hanover and Marilyn Feder of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Heather McGlynn of York New Salem and Deborah Mooradian of Hanover; and seven great-grandchildren. Betty enjoyed a full and adventurous life. She and Manny traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad with their wonderful group of friends, in addition to taking many memorable vacations with their extended family. She was an avid golfer, reader, and loved to dance. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. At Betty's request, there will be no funeral service. Her family will host a gathering in the near future to celebrate her life and share memories of this wonderful woman who will be sorely missed.
