HANOVER Casey Marie Sheridan, 16, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, December 5, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident. Born September 5, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nev., she was the loving daughter of Owen and Margaret (Colfer) Sheridan and little sister to Kelly Sheridan. Casey was the light of their life and lived life to the absolute fullest. Casey always made all those around her smile. Casey was passionate about soccer, having played since she was 4 years old. She played for the New Oxford High School Varsity Soccer Team since her freshman year. She especially loved playing with her teammates on her PUSA X-Treme Soccer team. Casey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, a member of the New Oxford High School Class of 2013 and the New Oxford High School Varsity Club. Casey is survived by her loving parents, Owen and Margaret Sheridan of Hanover, her big sister Kelly, who was her role model, idol, and best friend. She is also survived by her grandparents in Ireland, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ireland, England and New York. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, with father Joseph F. Gotwalt as celebrant. Burial will be in Hanover. The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. "In Our Hearts Forever, Love Mom, Dad, & Kelly" Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Colfer, Billy Sheridan, Val Sheridan, John Sheridan, Tom Sheridan, and Max Lissette. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Soccer Club, P.O. Box 254, Hanover, PA 17331.
