HANOVER Charles E. Linebaugh, Jr., 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2012, after a brief stay at Hanover Hall, Hanover. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ruthetta (Fuhrman) Linebaugh, who passed away on July 23rd, 2000. He was born on February 13, 1917 in York. As a boy he grew up in York, and spent his working career as a tractor trailer driver with Snyders of Hanover, A.D.Frey, R.H. Crawford and retired in 1977 after 33 years of accident free driving with Motor Freight Express. Charles was a member of many of the clubs in the Hanover area where he enjoyed conversing with anyone he met. Charles is survived by his two sons, Lee W. Linebaugh and his wife Linda of Hanover, and Gary A. Linebaugh and his wife Betty of New Oxford, four grandchildren, Chris Linebaugh and his wife Lori, Sherri Brandt and her husband Jimmie, Amy Albrecht and her husband Tracy and Tiffany Benzel and her companion Jason Lebo. He has eight great grandchildren, Sydney and Chesley Albrecht, Avery and Ella Benzel, Chloe and Alexis Linebaugh and Bailey and Riley Brandt. Family and friends will gather at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover for an 11 a.m. Graveside Service, Thursday, December 6, 2012 with Rev. Tina Minnich officiating.
