HANOVER Charlotte M. Warner, 88, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace, where she died peacefully in her sleep. Charlotte was the loving wife of Robert S. Warner, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Born January 20, 1924, in West Manheim Township, York County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar J. and Florence (Fuhrman) Masemer. Charlotte was a 1941 graduate of Hanover's Eichelberger High School and a 1942 graduate of the Prowell Commercial School. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's United Church, ELCA Hanover. Charlotte worked as a secretary for St. Mark Lutheran Church in Hanover, for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed vacations in Ocean City, Md., playing cards, putting puzzles together, and spending time with family and friends. Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Faye Showers and her husband, Larry of Hanover; a granddaughter, Jen Whisler and her husband, Rick of Hanover; and a step brother, Calvin "Pete" Roland of Hanover. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Charlotte's life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Steven E. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Contributions in memory of Charlotte may be made to St. Bartholomew's United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, PA 17331; or the Lutheran Retirement Village at Utz Terrace, 2100 Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA 17331.
