HANOVER David M. Arthur, 47, died suddenly of injuries resulting from a fall, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon. Born November 17, 1965 in Hanover, he was the son of Marie A. (Poist) Arthur of Hanover, formerly of Bonneau-ville, and the late Justus G. Arthur. David was the loving husband of Kimberly S. (Roomsburg) Arthur. Dave was a 1984 graduate of Littlestown High School. He was employed for 13 years by Utz Quality Foods of Hanover, where he currently worked as a supervisor of Waste Water Treatment. Dave was a member of the Littlestown Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, #6954, the Hanover Home Association as well as a life member of the Bonneauville Volunteer Fire Department. Dave enjoyed being outdoors and was often referred to as a workaholic. He was a loving husband and a proud Pappy to his granddaughter, Liana, and time spent with family was very important to him. In addition to his wife and mother, Dave is survived by his stepchildren, Benjamin Neiderer, Bryan Neiderer, Lauren Neiderer; his granddaughter, Liana Neiderer; his two brothers, Thomas Arthur and his wife Karen of Gettysburg, Stephen Arthur of Littlestown; his three sisters, Vickie Sponseller of Hanover, Peggy Weaver and her companion Terry Miller of Hanover, Cathy Waltz and her husband Timothy of Littlestown; seven nieces and nephews, Tanya Kurzmiller, Tammy Rutzebeck, Jessica Gehman, Christina Arthur, Aaron Waltz, Melissa Knouse, and Douglas Sponseller; five great-nieces and nephews; Owen Kurzmiller, Gabrielle Kurzmiller, Ethan Rutzebeck, Samantha Rutzebeck and Colby Gehman. A service to celebrate and remember Dave's life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with Pr. Shawn Berkebile officiating. Viewings and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Abbottstown. Serving as casketbearers will be Benjamin Neiderer, Bryan Neiderer, Aaron Waltz and Doug Sponseller.
