CARROLL VALLEY Deborah K. Sanders, 53, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Jon Raymond Nelson, who died December 17, 2010. She was born October 31, 1959, in Hanover, the daughter of Clara G. (Rider) Sanders of Gettysburg and the late Wayne E. Sanders. Deb graduated from Bermudian Springs High School and was employed with Musselman's, Biglerville, for 25 years. She was also a licensed real estate agent with Coldwell Banker, Bigham Realtors in Gettysburg. Deb enjoyed reading, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Deb is survived by her son, Nathan Sanders of Phoenix, Ariz.; stepdaughter, Kelly Nelson Tyree and husband, Carl of Darnestown, Md.; brothers, Tim Sanders of Gettysburg and Greg Sanders and wife, Dawn of Elizabethtown; sisters, Judy Sanders of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jackie Hall of York; grandchildren, Xavier Sanders of Phoenix, Ariz., and Paige, Jackson, and Josephine Tyree, all of Darnestown, Md.; and her beloved pets, Winslow and Sox. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Sanders. Services will be held Monday, January 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Peters Funeral Home, 321 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Contributions in memory of Deborah K.
