HANOVER Dennis Ronald Hale, (Pap Pap) 68, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at his home. Born January 28, 1944, in Hampstead, Md., he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Lauer) Hale. He was the husband of Rose Diane Jamerson Hale. He served in the Air Force from 1966 - 1970 and had been employed by Mercantile Bank in banking operations for 23 years and the Carroll County School Board for 15 years. He was a graduate of Randolph Macon College, having received a BS degree in math. He was a member of American Legion Post 200, the Moose Lodge of Westminster and a member of St. John's UM Church, Hampstead. He was a former member of "The Little Jewels" singing group. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Aaron Boggs and wife, Teresa of Taneytown, Md., and Sandra Hawkins of Hanover; grandchildren Tim Hawkins, Jr., Tyler Hawkins and Cordell Boggs; brother, Frank L. Hale and wife, June of Hanover; sister, Shirley L. Hale of Hampstead, Md.; nephew, John M. Hale and wife, Gail of WY; niece, Patricia A. Endres and husband, Michael of Hampstead, Md.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Elwood Francis Hale; and a great-niece, Anna Marie Endres. Friends may call at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m., at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1205 N. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev.
