BIGLERVILLE Dorothy T. Orner, 74, passed on to heaven on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Gettysburg Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1938, in Gettysburg, daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Baker) Kimple. Her husband, the late Dean Orner, passed on in 1972. Mrs. Orner was an active member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Buchanan Valley, singing in the choir and volunteering for many church activities. Early in her working career she was a supervisor with the Pennsylvania State Government. After raising her family, she ended her career at Herff-Jones Yearbooks in Gettysburg. Dorothy loved spending time with her beloved family and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons; Michael Orner and his wife, Jennifer, of Reisterstown, Md., and Terry Orner of Biglerville; six grandchildren, Karla, Jessica, Sara, Luke, Lauren and Anna Orner; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Madison, her sister; Linda M. Kimple of Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hall; and a brother, Ken Kimple. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 1095 Church Rd. Orrtanna. Burial will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
