HANOVER Ernest Frantz, Jr., 73, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the Hanover General Hospital in Hanover. He was the husband of Virginia Lee Wisner-Hayden Frantz. Born March 10, 1939, in Baltimore Co., Md., he was the son of the late Ernest William and Myrtle Nadine Fowble Frantz. Mr. Frantz was a retired tool and die maker for Black & Decker, where he had worked for over 35 years. He was an Air Force veteran where he spent time in Japan. He was a member of the American Legion Post 200 Hampstead, Md., a member of Green Springs Rod and Gun Club, and a life member of the N.R.A. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children, Robert Frantz and wife, Jenny of Hampstead, Md., Debra Riffie and husband, Steve of Hanover, Donna Frantz of Arizona, Lori Frantz of Hampstead, and Darrin Hayden and wife, Michele of Hanover; nine grandchildren; sister, Nadine Miller of Worthington Valley, Md.; and an aunt, Violet Miller of Hampstead. Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel PA, 3296 Charmil Drive. Manchester, Md., on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Reisterstown, Md. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
