Geneva J. Laughman Obituary
GLEN ROCK Geneva J. Laughman, 89, entered into God's eternal care Sunday, March 17, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stewart Q. Laughman. Born January 3, 1924, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Cora Alice (Sipling) and Howard Leonard Laughman. Geneva was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she lived to provide for her family and loved them dearly. Surviving are her sons, Garry L. Laughman, Sr., and his wife, Dot of Lewistown, Robert L. Laughman and his wife, Sara of Chambersburg, Rodger A. Laughman and his wife, Betty of Spring Grove, Ralph W. Laughman and his wife, Judith of Hanover, and Wayne D. Laughman and his wife, Joy of York; and her daughters, Joyce E. Schaeffer and her husband, Thomas of Glen Rock, Treva E. Andrews and her husband, Walter III of York, Kathleen R. Schell and her husband, Jacob of York, Deborah K. and Melissa I. Laughman, both of Glen Rock. Also surviving are many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and extended family members. Mrs. Laughman is preceded in death by her two sons, Stewart E. and Dale E. Laughman. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Laughman will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 9002 Orchard Rd., Spring Grove, with Elder Ray Mummert and Elder Robert Yohe officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, and again on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Mummerts Meeting House Cemetery, East Berlin. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Laughman, Walter Andrews IV, Jason Schell, David Laughman, Jeb Laughman, and Joshua Schell. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Laughman's memory to Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren for the printing of "Bible Helps". To share memories of Geneva J.
