HANOVER Genevieve A. Frazier, 95, passed peacefully, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Maynard M. Frazier, who died May 24, 1959. Born December 14, 1916, in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late George W. and Nettie G. (Bortle) Shaffer. Genevieve enjoyed watching game shows and baking "goodies" for her family. She also enjoyed looking at family pictures, playing solitaire and looking out the window. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley J. Singleton, Hanover; a son, George Frazier and his wife Linda, Hanover; two step-sons, Maynard Frazier, Columbia, Md., and Robert Frazier, New York; a son-in-law, Bill Kennedy, Taneytown, Md.; a sister, Bertha Blake, Glen Burnie, Md.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Kennedy; a son-in-law, William Singleton; and eleven brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Dende and the staff on the 2nd floor, M2, for their care and compassion of our beloved mother. A service to celebrate the life of Genevieve Frazier will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with Sister Deborah McClellan officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
