SPRING GROVE Janice L. Brillhart, 84, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, December 21, 2013, at her home with her loving family by her side. Born April 22, 1929, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Howard E. and Elsie (Luckenbaugh) Yingling. Janice was the loving wife of the late Franklin L. Brillhart, to whom she was married for 55 years until his passing on September 15, 2005. Janice was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hanover. Janice started sewing at the age of six and it became her life's passion. In her early years, she made hundreds of thousands of different clothes and alterations for people. Later, she made quilts, wall hangings, stuffed animals and of course her favorite, her beautiful yo-yo creations. Many she sold, but she would often give things away, especially the small ribbon crosses she handed out wherever she went. With needle in hand, she stayed busy until the very end. Janice is survived by four children, Franklin L. Brillhart, Jr. and wife Deb, Tina L. Brillhart, Lori L. Brillhart, all of Spring Grove, and Vicki L. Peters and husband Greg of Dover; three grandchildren, Jessica Brillhart, Jennifer Rowe, and Kevin Peters; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith V. Dehoff of Spring Grove. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde Yingling, Russell Yingling and Stuart Yingling; and two sisters, Treva Bailey and Mary Rabenstine. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Janice's life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, PA, with her pastor, the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Janice's memory to Grace United Methodist Church, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, PA 17331. The Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., Hanover, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.kenworthyfh.com
