CHARLESTON, SC Jordan C. Selfe, 23, entered into God's eternal care on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Jordan was born November 13, 1990, in Carlisle, the son of Jeffrey C. and Heather A. (Strouse) Selfe. Jordan was a 2009 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School and a 2013 graduate of Tiffin University. At Tiffin, Jordan graduated Summa Cum Laude with a double major in Homeland Security and Terrorism and Forensic Psychology, was vice president of Circle K, the collegiate organization of Kiwanis International, was a member of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and did his internship with the Department of Homeland Security in the I.C.E. Department. He joined the U.S. Army as a specialist in crypto-linguistics and was stationed in Monterrey, Calif. Jordan was active in football, basketball, and track in high school, and track and rugby in college. He enjoyed all sports, lifting weights, and spending time with family and friends. He was employed as a lifeguard at Lake Meade for four years, and worked part-time as a dispatcher in the Department of Public Safety at Gettysburg College for two years. Jordan is survived by his parents, Jeff and Heather Selfe, formerly of East Berlin, and now residing in Florence, S.C.; a brother, Jared R. Selfe of Surfside Beach, S.C.; a sister, Jenna N. Selfe of Florence, S.C.; his maternal grandmother, Jean L. Strouse of Lamar; his paternal grandmother, Patricia M. Selfe of Mill Hall; his girlfriend, Claire Spellman of Des Moines, Iowa; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bermudian Church of The Brethren, 279 Bermudian Church Road, East Berlin, with Pastor Larry M. Dentler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be no viewing before the service at the church on Saturday.
