Leroy R. Rudisill Obituary
GETTYSBURG Leroy R. "Rudy" Rudisill, 84, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at Gettysburg Center. His wife the late Catharine C. (Small) Rudisill died in 2003. He was born in Gettysburg on August 3, 1927, son of the late Wilbur and Bessie (Aughinbaugh) Rudisill. Mr. Rudisill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II, he retired from Gulf Oil Co. after 37 years of service as a retail marketing specialist. He was a former member of American Legion Post #202, Gettysburg Eagles, Elks and Moose. He is survived by a daughter, Wendy K. Rudisill and her partner, David Stouch of Gettysburg; two sons, Douglas R. Rudisill and his wife, Christine of Gettysburg and Daniel J. Rudisill of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren, Amanda Christie, Joseph, Jason, Samuel, Matthew, Megan and Alexa Rudisill, Douglas Stouch, Laura Carr and Kirsten Gumienny; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Plitt and her husband Paul of Hanover; five brothers, Wilbur Albert Rudisill and his wife Jeanne of Gettysburg, Harold "Sonny" Rudisill and his wife Shirley of Gettysburg, Fred Rudisill of York, Robert Rudisill of Toledo, Ohio, and E. James Rudisill of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, a son, Thomas A. Rudisill and three brothers, Donald, Charles and Eugene Rudisill. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Gettysburg.
