HEIDLERSBURG Maybelle Emma Rupp, 83, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Gettysburg surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 5, 1929 in Gettysburg, daughter of the late John Ray & Ethel Mae (Weikert) Herr. Mrs. Rupp was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Buddy Hiram Daniel Rupp, who died September 7, 2000. She was a 1947 graduate of Gettysburg High School, member of the Heidlersburg United Brethren in Christ Church, Heidlersburg Fire Co. Auxiliary, Heidlersburg Homemakers and had served over 45 years with the Adams County Elections Board. Maybelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly S. Frazier and her husband Wayne of New Oxford; two sons, Steven D. Rupp and his wife Tracey of New Oxford and David R. Rupp, Sr. and his wife Tammy of Gettysburg; a sister, Ardella A. Naylor of Concord, N.C.; eight grandchildren, April L. (Frazier) Gladfelter and her husband Doug of New Oxford, Wayne A. Frazier Jr. of New Oxford, Michael A. Frazier and his wife Susie of East Berlin, Justin A. Rupp and his girlfriend Madison Baust of Miami, Fla., Heather L. (Rupp) Henry and her husband Christian of Biglerville, David R. Rupp Jr. and his wife Jessica of Gardners, Stacey M. Rupp and her fiance Nick Cafarchio of Gettysburg, and Whitney R. Rupp and her boyfriend John Millhimes of Gettysburg; five great-grandchildren, Samantha Gladfelter of New Oxford, Ryan Gladfelter of New Oxford, Coleson Frazier of East Berlin, Kendall Frazier of East Berlin, and Christopher L. Gaskin of Biglerville; one great-great-grandchild, Eli Gladfelter of New Oxford; and a dear friend, Crystal Host. Maybelle was predeceased by a sister, Erma Iren (Herr); and a grandson, Kevin D. Rupp. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. from the Heidlersburg United Brethren in Christ Church with her Pastor, Rev. Craig A. Loewen, officiating. Interment will be in Heidlersburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, Nov. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
