FAYETTEVILLE Miriam J. (Myers) Becker, 90, formerly of East Berlin, went home to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with several diseases, Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville. She was the wife of the late Mark A. Becker, who died October 31, 1994. Miriam was born June 23, 1923, in Abbottstown, the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Ada (Geesey) Myers. She attended church services at the Village of Laurel Run. Miriam is survived by two sons, Danny M. Becker of Austin, Texas and Neal R. Becker and his wife Sue of York; three daughters, Connie L. Hersh and her husband Jim of Spring Grove, Bonnie K. Rinehart and her husband Mart of Thomasville, and Pam J. Daugherty and her husband Jock of Abbottstown; 11 grandchildren, 26 great -grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by one stepdaughter, Patricia Becker; two stepsons, Charles Becker and Mark A. Becker, Jr,; two brothers, Clarence and Pete Myers; and two sisters, Mabel Totten and Ted Fritz. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Chaplain Bill Kauffman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. A viewing will be held Monday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
