CATON, NY Rev. R. Norman, Bange was born March 16, 1923, in Hanover, the son of the late Ralph and Elsie (Hershey) Bange went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2012, peacefully at his home at the age of 89. His brothers, Aaron and Raymond Bange; sister, Marie Kline; son-in-law, Donald Haber, all predeceased him. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Leola (Martin) Bange; beloved children, Rosanna Haber of Fla.; Clarence (Joan) Bange of N.Y.; Alice (Mark) Miller of Pa.; Paul (Joyce) Bange of Pa.; Sarah (Ray) Miller of Md.; Mark (Mary) Bange of Pa.; Luke (Janet) Bange of Iowa; along with 32 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Clair (Margaret) Bange of Hanover. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. Following the visitation will be a brief Funeral Service to honor Reverend Bange. Visitation will also take place on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bair's Mennonite Church, 6925 York Road Hanover. Funeral services honoring Rev. R. Norman Bange's life will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. The Moderator will be Bishop Bernell Burkholder Sr., Minister Bernell Burkholder Jr. will officiate and Minister Jeff Hurst will offer the Devotional. Interment will follow in the York Road Cemetery in Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Union Valley Mennonite Church Route # 1 Box 556 Ulster PA 18850.
