Rose Gladfelter Obituary

HANOVER Rose Marie "Rosie" Gladfelter, 66, loving wife of Burnell D. Gladfelter, Sr., passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Hanover Hospital. Born January 19, 1946, in Carroll County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Dutterer Beachtel, and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Martin, John, Gene, and William Beachtel; and two sisters, Shirley Dutterer and Margaret "Peggy" Rebert. She enjoyed going fishing with her husband. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Dee McCormick of Oak Grove, Ill., and Robin Hyser of Chandler, Ariz.; two sons, Dan Gervasio of Mesa, Ariz., and Ronnie Hyser of Hanover; three sisters, Elaine Good of Hanover, Janet Beck Pottorff of Littlestown, and Rita Williams of Selbyville, Del.; six stepsons, Burnell D. Gladfelter, Jr. of Bonneauville, Scott Gladfelter of Hanover, Christopher Gladfelter of Goshen, Va., Wade Gladfelter of Jefferson, Todd Gladfelter of Westminster, Md., and Shawn Gladfelter of Hanover; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, with The Rev. Kenneth S. Heasley officiating. The family will receive friends at a viewing 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
