HANOVER Sandra L. "Sandy" Therit, 70, entered into eternal rest at her home with her family by her side on Monday, December 10, 2012. She was the wife of George Therit who died in 1993. Born April 20, 1942, in Hanover she was the daughter of John R. and M. Betty (Mummert) Moul, Hanover. Sandy was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, class of 1960. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, York Street, Hanover for 70 years. Sandy was employed at many different places, mostly in the retail field. Her last employment was with Utz Snack Foods on Broadway, Hanover. Sandy was a Den Mother for several years when her sons were in scouts. She was a perfect hostess, always giving parties for all occasions. She loved reading until she lost her eyesight. She is survived by three sons, Andrew Therit and wife Becky, Timothy Therit and wife Wanda, and Christopher Therit, all of Hanover; six grandchildren, Nichole, Megan, Jamie, Jenna, Andrew and Logan; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren, one step great-grandchild; a brother, Ronald L. Moul of the Villages in Florida; a number of nephews and nieces and many, many friends. A service to celebrate the life of Sandy Therit will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with Pastor Tina Minnich and Pastor Bill Mummert officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Those who wish to visit earlier may come to the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Pallbearers will be: Andrew Therit, Tim Therit, Chris Therit, Ron Moul, Steve Shuff and Kevin Mong. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lionus Smith and Todd Goldberg.
