FAIRFIELD Sherri L. Wetzel, 47, entered into God's eternal care on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Genesis Gettysburg Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward W. Wetzel, Jr. for five years. Born February 5, 1965, in Hanover, she was the daughter of Patrick H. and Marlene A. (Rohrbaugh) Henry of New Oxford. Sherri was employed at Masterbrand Cabinets and Wal-Mart. She was a 1983 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School and a member of the Methodist Church in Emmitsburg, Md. Sherri enjoyed playing bingo and club pogo. Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are two children, Sarah L. Henry and Patrick J. Henry, both of Fairfield; four siblings, Debra Riggleman and her companion Mike Bowman of East Berlin, Steven Henry and his wife Sherry of Hampton, Tammy Miller of Hanover, and Jonathon Henry of New Oxford; mother-in-law, Beverly Wetzel of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sherri may be made to the family to offset expenses.
