LITTLESTOWN Susan Bowers was born on November 11, 1937, and passed away on July 18, 2012, after a two and a half year battle with Leukemia. She had written her own obit which run earlier and her husband, Harold Bowers wrote the following more detailed information to tell of her life. At Susan's request no funeral or viewing were held a the time of her passing. A service was held five weeks later at Harold's request and was hosted by Sherry Bowers, which was a great help to Harold. Pastor Tim Kielley officiated the service. She was cremated and her ashes placed in a wooden cherry urn where Harold's ashes will be placed upon his passing. She spent the last 24 days of her life, and many other days plus trips, at the Hershey Medical Center. In her younger days she was an excellent roller skater. She enjoyed numerous trips with friends, Jean, Leatha, Betty-Dixie to Nashville and Dollywood to name a few, and trips taken with her friends and Harold to Canada, New York, the Football Hall of Fame (she was an avid Steelers fan) and many other places. Harold and Susie traveled to the west coast on their own. She is survived by her husband, Harold and her dearly loved step-children, Larry Bowers and wife, Pat, Barbara Topper and husband, Joe, Jay Bowers and wife, Darlene; Daniel Bowers and wife, Sherry, and Anna Cox and Bob.
