MCSHERRYSTOWN Teresa Margaret Keffer, 96, entered into God's re Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center. She was the wife Loyola I. "Lolly" Keffer, who died January 11, 1970. Born February 5, 1917, in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of the late B.P. Topper and Mamie (Eck) Topper. Teresa was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown. She was a graduate of St. Joseph College in Emmitsburg, Md., majoring in Latin, and taught Latin and Health at Delone Catholic High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her six children, M. Terry Arcari and her husband, Paul of Clinton, Md., Kathleen Schuchart and her husband, Phillip of Gettysburg, C. Joseph Keffer and his wife, Martine of Richmond, Calif., David Keffer and his wife, Kathleen of McSherrystown, Loyola (Jack) Keffer, Jr. and his wife, Janet of Hanover, and Jeanne Keffer and her husband, Bill Sneeder of Dayton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings, Helen Overbaugh, Mary Callahan, Derby Topper, Regina Dumler, Curtis, Bernard, and Charles and Anthony Topper. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Annunciation Catholic Church, McSherrystown, with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown, with prayers at 8 p.m. Contributions in remembrance of Teresa may be made to Delone Catholic High School, 140 S.
