SPRING GROVE Sarah L. (Zeigler) Rabenstine, 85, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond R. Rabenstine who passed away in 1993. Sarah was born in York on June 9, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Daisy Ellen (Stump) Zeigler. She graduated from William Penn High School Class of 1946. She was employed by the Spring Grove Area School District as a secretary at the Paradise and Spring Grove Elementary Schools for many years and retired in 1983. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, where she was actively involved for many years. She was a member of the White Rose Chapter #360 OES. She loved her church and family and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey L Rabenstine and his wife Linda of Spring Grove, Patricia King and fiance Kevin Weber of Ocean City; James J. Rabenstine and wife Amy of Ohio; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren, Tyler, Olivia and Ivy; her great-granddaughter, Brionna; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Spruce, Ray and Robert Zeigler. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Daniel V. Biles III officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Spring Grove Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "St Paul Lutheran Church in Memory of Sarah L Rabenstine" at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362.
