ABBOTTSTOWN Cynthia Anne Balch, 54, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at home. She was the loving wife of Charles Edward "Chuck" Balch, her husband of 25 years. Born July 17, 1959, in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Hilton, Jr. and Elizabeth (Huber) Cook. Cynthia was a homemaker who loved traveling, camping, shopping and spending time at her home in Ocean City, Md. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. In addition to her husband, Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Casandra Rebert and husband Josh, Dover; granddaughter, Jaymie May Rebert, Dover; and sister, Judith Amanda Danza-Thompson and husband Randall of Hampstead, Md. A service to celebrate the life of Cynthia will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, Pa. A time to share memories with family and friends and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
