HANOVER Gladys Jane Raubenstine, 91, entered into God's eternal care Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Golden Living Nursing Center, Gettysburg. Gladys was the loving wife of Robert E. Raubenstine, who died July 20, 1995. Born August 1, 1922, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Gertrude G. (Bolden) Hoffheins and was a stepdaughter to the late Ethel (Sheely) Hoffheins. Gladys was a member of St. Bartholomew's United Church, ELCA, where she was active in the Sunday School, Christian Endeavor, and the Ladies Auxiliary. Gladys was a home maker and worked on the family farm. She loved the farm life and especially being with her family. Gladys is survived by one son-in-law, Barry L. Baney of Hanover; two grandchildren, Brian L. Baney and wife, Jennifer, and Kimberly A. Trone and husband, Thomas, Jr. all of Hanover; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, and Ellieanna Baney, and Carson and Ashlyn Trone; two sisters, Nadine Stock and Janet Howe; one brother, Elmer P. Hoffheins, Jr.; and two half sisters, Sally Kopp and Susan Clousher. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy L. Baney; and two brothers, Glenn Hoffheins and Merle Hoffheins. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Gladys's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at St. Bartholomew's United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, with her Pastor, the Rev. Steven E. Thomas, officiating. A time to view and share memories with the family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew United Church Cemetery, Hanover. Contributions in memory of Gladys may be made to St. Bartholomew's United Church, ELCA, 1204 Grand Valley Road, Hanover, PA 17331; or the Visiting Nurse Association of Hanover & Spring Grove, 440 N.
