SPRING GROVE Corwin A. "Cory" Wentz, 58, peacefully entered into God's eternal care Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at his home with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Cory was the loving husband of Ruth A. (Warehime) Wentz, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage. Born November 1, 1955, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Pearl E. (Frey) Wentz . Cory was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Codorus. Mr. Wentz was a 1973 graduate of South Western School, Hanover. He was employed by Snyders-Lance of Hanover, where he worked as a warehouse receiver for the last 20 years. In his spare time, Cory enjoyed gardening, yard work, and music, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. In addition to his wife, Ruth, Cory is survived by his daughters, Jennifer N. Orendorff and her husband, Timothy of York, Christy A. Smith of Hanover, and Elizabeth L. Wentz of Spring Grove; his brother, Jere A. Wentz of Hanover; and his sisters, Amanda S. Luckabaugh of Spring Grove and Rebecca E. Rice of Codorus. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick F. Wentz; and his nephews, Travis A. Rice and William O. Wentz. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cory's memory to the ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002-2755.
