BIGLERVILLE Linda L. (Bucher) Biggins, 65, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at the Gettysburg Center. Linda was predeceased by her husband, John R. "Jack" Biggins, who died in l996. She was born in Gettysburg, on April 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Mark R. and Dorothy (Funt) Bucher. She was a 1967 graduate of Gettysburg High School. Linda was a member of Flohrs Lutheran Church in McKnightstown, Gettysburg Eagles, Gettysburg Moose, and American Legion Post #202 Auxiliary and VFW Post #15 Auxiliary, both of Gettysburg. Linda had been employed by C.E. Williams & Sons for the last 20 years, working as a driver on the paving crew. Prior to that, she had worked for several bus contractors in the Gettysburg School District driving students to various functions. Linda enjoyed the outdoors and loved tending to her garden and flower beds. She is survived by her children, Timothy Biggins and wife, Christine of Biglerville, and Kimberly Dick and husband, John of Hanover; four grandchildren, Andrew John, Jack Thomas, and Sophie Grace Biggins, and Katie Dick; two sisters, Donna Bucher of Orrtanna and Barbara Wolf of Gettysburg; three brothers, David Bucher of Orrtanna, Mark Bucher, Jr. of Biglerville, and Harry "Jake" Bucher of Orrtanna; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her companion of 14 years, Michael Ott of Biglerville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with her Pastor, the Rev. Thomas Darr, officiating. Burial will be in Flohrs Cemetery, McKnightstown, with Johnny Rittlemoser, Dave Masonheimer, Phil Wolf, Mark Bucher, Jr., David Bucher, and Harry "Jake" Bucher serving as pallbearers. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Cashtown Fire Co., Cashtown, PA 17310.
