HANOVER Larry E. Hare, 73, entered into God's eternal care Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Mary M. (Rinehart) Hare, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born September 24, 1940, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Lester and Mary (Royston) Hare. Larry was a 1959 graduate of Hanover High School. He retired from Utz Snack Food Company of Hanover in 2004 where he was a route salesman for 33 years. Following his retirement, he was employed for several years at Crabbs Tropical Treat of Hanover. Larry was a member of the McSherrystown Home Association, the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, the Republican Club of Hanover, and the Hanover Moose Lodge #227. In his free time, Larry enjoyed fishing with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Mary, Larry is survived by his son, Ricky A. Hare and his wife, Annette of Abbottstown; his daughter, Amy S. Garrett and her fiance, Bryan Zinn of New Oxford; and four grandchildren, Steven Garrett, Trey Hare, Tessa Hare, and Cameron Zinn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Hare, Jr.; and his sisters, Treva Garrett and Marie Berwager. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Serving as casketbearers will be Trey Hare, Steven Garrett, Ricky Hare, Bryan Zinn, Dave Zinn and Dan Myers. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Tessa Hare and Cameron Zinn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Larry's memory to Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital, Office of Development, 90 Hope Drive, P.O.
