GETTYSBURG Susan M. Brashears, 47, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at the York Hospital. Born October 3, 1966, in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of Doris (Krichten) Sanders of Littlestown and the late Marlin Sanders. She was the wife of Robert L. Brashears, Jr. of Gettysburg, to whom she was married to for almost 30 years. Susan was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville. She worked as a baker at Kennie's Market in Littlestown for seven years. She was a huge Elvis fan. In addition to her husband and mother, Susan is survived by her two sons whom she lived her life for, Nathan Brashears and Joshua Brashears, both of Gettysburg; her niece, Amber Miller; her newborn great-nephew, Jordan Wayne Stultz; father-in-law, Robert L. Brashears, Sr.; her caregiver, Penny Brashears; her two dogs, Daniel and Barney; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Julia Miller, who died in 2012, Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with Deacon Richard Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 2, 2014, at the funeral home. The family requests contributions be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
