HANOVER Jacquelyn Faye Stremmel, 58, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the York Hospital. Jacquelyn was the loving wife of Barry E. Stremmel, with whom she celebrated 38 years of marriage on July 9, 2014. Born August 2, 1955, in Hanover, she was the daughter of Mary (Berwager) Gilbert of Hanover and the late Merle Gilbert. Mrs. Stremmel was the office manager for Quick Print Center for 36 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hanover Eagles. Jacquelyn was also a member of the Hanover Elks, the Hanover VFW Post 2506, and McSherrystown Moose. Jacquelyn enjoyed spending time at State College and the beach, loved her gardens and her flowers, was an avid reader, and loved to watch her birds. In addition to her husband and mother, Jacquelyn is survived by two brothers, Rodger L. Gilbert of Bath, Pa., and Gordon R. Gilbert of Hanover; one sister, Pamela K. Young of Berwyn, Pa.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Jacquelyn's life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at St. David's United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, with her cousin, Leroy Kline, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in St. David's Church Cemetery, Hanover. Contributions in memory of Jacquelyn may be made to the .
