ST. PETERSBURG, FL Glenn E. Helmstetter, 44, formerly of Abbottstown, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Fla. Glenn was born July 29, 1970, in Westminster, Md., the son of Ferman J. and Gloria E. (Elliott) Helmstetter. Glenn was a 1988 graduate of Westminster High School, a 1990 graduate of Stevenson University, and was employed in the finance and automotive finance industry. In addition to his parents, Ferman and Gloria, Glenn is survived by a daughter, Madeline T. Helmstetter, a son, Grant E. Helmstetter, and his former wife, Molly B. Helmstetter, all of Abbottstown, a sister, Tracy L. Pownell and her husband William of Westminster, Md., his paternal grandmother, Edna P. Helmstetter of LaVale, Md., and an aunt, Anna Mae Keidel and her husband George of LaVale, Md. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with the Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in New Oxford. Visitations will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
