HANOVER Mark "Andy" Garrett, 63, died Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. Born June 3, 1951, in Hanover, he was the son of Dorothy (Hahn) Garrett of Hanover and the late Mark "Buck" Garrett. Andy worked at the Baker Dolomite Company in York, and Batavia, Ohio. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going to camp in the "mountains" at Snow Shoe, Pa. He was a very good photographer of the outdoors and captured a number of amazing pictures of the eagles at the Hanover water dam. In his free time, you could find him conversing with friends at Bay City Restaurant. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two children, Jeffrey Garrett and his wife Sandra, of York, Jody Markel and her husband Greg, of Seven Valleys; his two grandchildren, Brandon Garrett, Madison Markel; his brother, Daniel Garrett and his wife Harriet Maitland, of St. Regis Falls, N.Y.; his sister, Margaret Garrett, of Hanover; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Andy was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Neiderer. A memorial service to celebrate Andy's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Bay City Restaurant Banquet Room, 110 Eisenhower Drive, Hanover, with the Rev.
