YORK Laura M. Hinkel, 94, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012, at Hanover Hall in Hanover. Laura was born in York County, on December 3, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Morris and Anna May (Williams) Hinkel. She was a longtime member of Christ United Church of Christ in Jefferson. She volunteered at PAL Lunch in Hanover and at Meals on Wheels for St. Matthew Church in Hanover. She is survived by her sister, Beatrice Hinkel. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Kessler, and her brother, Charles Hinkel. A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson with the Rev. Bonnie A. Whittier officiating. Family services are under the direction of Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC of Spring Grove. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Christ United Church of Christ, 32 Baltimore St., Codorus PA 17311. Condolences may be shared at www.irwinbeck.com
