GLEN ROCK Violet A. "Pat" Sipe, 76, died Friday, November 9, 2012. She was the wife of the late John "Humpty" Sipe. There will be a viewing from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary with Leroy Kling, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in New Freedom Cemetery, New Freedom. Born April 18, 1936, in High Rock, Violet was the daughter of the late Ruphus D. and Eula (Doss) Moser. Violet was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Railroad for over 50 years. She had been an employee with the former Coleman's and Glen Traditionals of Glen Rock and with the former Fypon Ltd. of Stewartstown during the 1990's. Violet enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and country music. She also loved times spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson. She is survived by her son, Jim Sipe and his wife, Mary of Glen Rock; two daughters, Jody A. Schultz of Glen Rock and Jennifer A. Sipe of Nicholasville, Ky.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three brothers; and five sisters.
