WESTMINSTER, MD Alverta Amelia Wagner Glover, 98, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at The Woods of Sun Valley Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Herschel McQuay Glover. Born February 20, 1914, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Lena Marine Zepp Wagner and John Byron Wagner, Sr. She worked at Westminster Knit as a sewing machine operator and also worked as a lifelong farmer raising rabbits, birds, cows, and other animals. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed preparing church suppers and Sunday school picnics. She enjoyed helping to raise her nieces and nephews and telling stories about the old times. Surviving are nephews, John B. Wagner, III of Westminster, Ronnie Wagner and wife, Mindi of Westminster, and Joyce A. Sannon and husband, Sonny of Hagerstown, Md.; great-niece, Cindy Stater; great-nephew; Eddie Stater, Jr.; and other numerous great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zion United Methodist Church, 2716 Old Washington Road, Westminster 21157 with the Rev. Diane Summerhill officiating.
