HANOVER John A. "Jack" Jobe, Jr., 86, entered into God's eternal care on Friday, November 23, 2012, at the Hanover Hospital. Jack was the loving husband of Sue A. (Sheely) Jobe, to whom he was married 17 years. Born October 12, 1926, in Delmont, he was the son of the late John A., Sr. and Ethelwyn (Christy) Jobe. Jack served his country proudly in the Army Air Corps. He was a 1953 graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he earned a degree in Business/Finance. He was also a member of the PSU Alumni Asociation. He retired from IBM after several years of service. Mr. Jobe was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hanover, as well as the American Legion Post #270 of McLean, Va. Jack enjoyed raising show dogs in his spare time and was a member of the National Portugese Water Dog Club Association. In addition to his wife, Sue, Jack is survived by his daughter, Christy Jobe Carter and her husband, Edmund of McLean, Va.; his stepson, Craig Crawford and his husband, James "Jim" of Cranston, R.I.; his stepdaughter, Kimberly Crawford of Rockford, Mich.; his six grandchildren, Paul and Christopher Rochelle, Jon and Sam Crawford, and Sheely and Molly Crawford; his brother-in-law, James McQuade and his wife, Doris of Long Island, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anne (McQuade) Jobe. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York St., Hanover, with Pastor Tina Minnich officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Contributions may be made in Jack's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York St., Hanover, PA 17331; or to the Adams County S.P.C.A., 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
