HANOVER Allen O. Cunningham, 84, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, November 19, 2012, at home with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband of Mary May (Sullivan) Cunningham with whom he shared 33 years of marriage. Born October 3, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Harry and Ethel (Rohrbaugh) Cunningham. Allen was a 1947 graduate of Petersburg High School, in Petersburg, W.Va. Allen served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was self-employed and retired after forty years in the construction industry. Allen was a member of Calvary Assembly of God, Hanover. In addition to his wife, Mary, Allen is survived by a daughter, Denise Fogerty of North Carolina; two step sons, Reginald Baugher and Randall Baugher both of Hanover; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Berg of Hanover; and a brother, John Cunningham of Petersburg, W.Va. He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Cunningham; a sister, Hallie Rutledge; and a brother, Harry Cunningham. Following cremation, a service to celebrate and remember Allen's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Assembly of God, 95 Pumping Station Road, Hanover, with Pastor Vern Annis officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Allen may be made to Calvary Assembly of God, 95 Pumping Station Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
