HANOVER Kathleen B. Harman, 90, entered into God's eternal care Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Homewood at Plum Creek. Born March 23, 1922, in Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Albert L. and Josephine Masemer Barbour, and was the wife of John C. Harman, her husband of nearly 65 years and former mayor of Hanover, who died in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where she was active with the Women of Trinity. Mrs. Harman was a stay at home Mom and was active in the Cub Scouts, PTA, and other activities her sons were involved in. Later, she worked in various retail establishments, including Whisler's Dry Cleaners and Laundry, and Trone & Weichert Clothiers. She was a volunteer with the Hanover Hospital "Gray Ladies", the YWCA, and other charitable organizations. Survivors include her two sons, Larry Harman and his wife, Marilyn, and David Harman and his wife, Peg, all of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, The Rev. John Harman and his wife, BJ of McKinney, Texas, and Dr. Brad Harman and his wife, Naomi, of Alvarado, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Elyse, Weslie, and Skylar Harman, all of McKinney, Texas, and Matthew and Samara Harman, both of Alvarado, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and extended family and friends. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at Trinity United Church of Christ with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. A service of committal will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
